Sauteed Silverbeet

💚 SAUTEED SILVERBEET 💚

Lately, when I do our fruit and veg shop, I have been buying one vegetable that I don't often use or have never tried before and challenge myself to cook it during the week... hello silverbeet! 👋🏻

 

I mentioned silverbeet on my stories and a lovely lady shared her recipe... it is seriously delicious! 😋

So with her permission, I share it with you 😉 #yourwelcome

 

Saute onion and garlic until softened.

Add in turmeric and paprika and cook for 1 minute.

Gently stir in silver beet to wilt.

Remove from heat and add a squeeze of lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste.

++ optional: you can add a can of chickpeas to make this a main meal
