Cheats Chocolate

I whipped up a quick batch of choccies for Steve to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary today ๐Ÿ’–

I have recipes where I make chocolate from scratch but I was short for time and this is a quick and simple version that is yummy (and eco friendly too without the wrapping ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŽ).

This mixture fills one silicone 'heart' shaped ice cube tray.

Ingredients:

  • 140 gram chocolate buttons (I use 72% vegan chocolate)
  • optional: slivered almonds


Method:

  1. Over a double boiler (or using short bursts in the microwave) gently melt the chocolate buttons in a heat proof bowl.
    ** I use a Pyrex glass jug so I can pour the mixture easily into the moulds once it has melted.
  2. Whilst the chocolate is melting, add a few slivered almonds to each silicone mould.
  3. Once the chocolate has melted, pour it into the tray of silicone moulds and place in the fridge to set for 2-4 hours.
