Creamy Seed Porridge
This is not quite your traditional porridge with added seeds for crunch but it is creamy and delicious!
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1 tsp chia seeds, linseeds, sunflowers seeds and pumpkin seeds
- 1 scoop vanilla protein (or collagen powder optional)
- splash of almond milk
- 1 tbsp sweetener (honey or maple syrup)
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- toppings: flaked coconut, hemp seeds, cacao nibs, sliced banana / straberries
Method:
- In a bowl, add the oats and seeds and cover with boiling water. Approx 1/2 cup of water but fill until the water covers the oats and seeds. Place a plate on top of the bowl and let it sit for 10-15mins.
- To the softened oats and seeds, stir through the protein powder (if using) and add the almond milk to get your desired consistency.
- Drizzle the sweetener and almond butter on top and then sprinkle on your toppings.
