Raw Chocolate Nutty Clusters

β€’ RAW CHOCOLATE NUTTY CLUSTERS β€’

You might already know that I have a deep love for scorched almonds or any chocolate covered nut for a sweet treat #drool πŸ˜‹ but have you seen the long list of ingredients on some of the packs πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ™ˆ

Here is a simple recipe so you can whip up a batch at home 🍫 πŸ₯œ

πŸ₯„ 1/2 cup of cacao powder

πŸ₯„ 1/2 cup of coconut oil

πŸ₯„ 1/4 cup of sweetener (honey, maple syrup)

πŸ₯„ 2 + 1/2 cups of nuts (I used an unsalted combo of macadamias, raw cashews & almonds)

πŸ₯„ 1/2 cup of dried fruit / buckinis / seeds (I used inca berries, goji berries, currants & buckinis)

Β

πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ Method: If using raw nuts, place them on a baking tray and roast in the oven for approx 10 minutes or until brown ** keep an πŸ‘€ on them as it’s easy to get distracted - you don’t want to burn your nuts πŸ˜‰ Let them cool on the baking tray.

Place cacao powder, coconut oil and sweetener in a bowl and mix together. Once mixture is combined, add in the roasted nuts and dried fruit / buckinis / seeds and spread the mixture onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Leave to set in the fridge and break into pieces... and voilΓ ... you have a delicious sweet treat πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ˜

Note: this tastes so much better if you use roasted rather than raw nuts, make sure the nuts have cooled before you coat them in the chocolate mixture - if they’re still hot, the mixture will be too runny and won’t stick.
